IgloSkop lets you report drug-related hazards you encounter in public spaces — needles, paraphernalia, encampments — so they can be identified, mapped, and addressed.
Submitting a report
- Take or choose a photo. Tap "Take Photo" to use your camera on the spot, or "Choose from Library" to pick an existing photo.
- Confirm the location. If your photo has GPS data built in, we'll use that automatically. If not, you can share your current device location, or simply tap the exact spot on a map yourself.
- Select a category and add a short note if useful.
- Submit. Your report is reviewed by a moderator before it appears on the public map.
Viewing the map
Tap the Map tab to see approved reports as pins. Nearby reports cluster together into a number until you zoom in. Tap any pin to see its category, date, time, and photo.
Privacy & legal, briefly
- Never photograph identifiable people. Focus only on the item or location itself.
- Locations are accurate — either read from your photo's GPS data, your device's location, or a spot you place yourself on the map. This is intentional: precise locations are what make the map useful for finding and addressing hotspots.
- Reports are reviewed by a moderator before appearing publicly.
- No account or personal information is required to submit a report — no name, no email, no login.
- We do store a one-way, irreversible hashed version of your IP address for a short time, solely to prevent spam and abuse. This can't be reversed to reveal your actual IP address.
- This platform is a citizen reporting tool, not an emergency service. For immediate danger, contact local emergency services directly.
